City Soccer Club was founded in 1999 to provide an opportunity for young boys and girls to participate in a competitive soccer program. The club is located in West Los Angeles. Our program is currently supporting about 150 ethnically diverse, young athletes between the ages of 8 and 18. The goal of our program is to provide a comprehensive and progressive training program that will ultimately prepare our players for the highest levels of competition. Additionally, through their involvement with our club, we expect that all our club members will develop good character traits, like honesty, sportsmanship, and commitment.
As with any competitive sports program, there are associated costs, which can exceed $2,800 per player each year. These costs include: coaching fees, uniforms, training equipment, field usage, league registration, referee fees and participation in local and state tournaments. Additionally, teams that are already competing at a high level of play, may have additional costs associated with travel to out-of-state tournaments, like hotel, meals, and transportation.
Given the expense involved, obviously not every child can afford to participate at the club level. But City Soccer Club does not limit a child=s participation based on their inability to pay the required costs. We offer scholarships to those with demonstrated financial need.
So you see, there are many ways in which your donation can be used to help support local youth as they grow and develop into highly competitive athletes. City Soccer Club operates as a non-profit entity under Internal Revenue Code Sections 501(a) and 501(c) (3). To that end, any donations that you make to our club can be considered tax deductible. I will gladly provide you with an acknowledgment, including our tax identification number, upon receipt of your donation.
