Open tryouts will be held during the first week of February and during the first week of practices every month. The coaching staff reserves the right to make decisions on players’ selections for any Team and to ask certain prospective players to remain after tryouts. Please inform us if you plan to join a Team if asked to do so. If a Player joins a Team, this contract will need to be signed and the Team’s Manager will facilitate the registration and Club membership process and activities. The case in which any participant in a tryout is not selected to join a Team, our Coaches offer a Player Development Program. The Player Development Program is a training school that will focus on teaching children technical skills as well as developing physical fitness.
The time of development will vary for each player depending on factors such as attendance, effort, dedication, and talent.

Players’ Commitment

The commitment is for one soccer season will extend from the time you join a Team through the regular League season and League Cup in the fall and may extend through winter and spring with tournaments and/or State Cup, California Cup, Spring League, Spring Cup, and friendly games, etc. Once the Team’s commitments have finished, the Player’s commitment will finish and the Player will be free to make a decision to stay with the Team or leave. Keep in mind that the most important elements of soccer development is training. The success of each Player’s development and the Team depends on each Player’s commitment and attendance at practices and games. The Club recognizes that there are things more important than soccer. In terms of priority, family and school come first. If Parents and Players have an unavoidable time conflict, the Club expects timely communication so that the necessary Team adjustments can be made. However, the soccer we play will be taken very seriously and if the Coaches see that the Player is not willing to put soccer and his Team above other recreational activities during training and games, it may affect his playing time and/or status with the Club. We expect you to commit to the sport of soccer and your Team as your first recreational activity and priority. Once a Player registers for a playing season, he will not be released from a Team unless it is for disciplinary reasons or failure to fulfill financial obligations.

All players need to have their equipment for all the games

Socks, Cleats, Shin Guards, Black Shorts, Red / White Shirt, Warm-up Uniform, Adidas Bag & Ball.
The athlete that attends the games without the appropriate aforementioned uniforms will not participate in the game.
In case of loss of the game uniform, the athlete’s parents should communicate in advance to the team's manager. Parents will be responsible for the payment of any extra uniform and/or ball.
Starting with the next progress report (report card), I will need a copy from each player.
PS: Players who are not doing well in school will be on probation. and Coaches will decide whether they will play or not in the game.

Coaching

Our coaches conduct themselves first as teachers and second as soccer coaches. Their objective is to train our players and foster a development of soccer players who know how to conduct themselves as positive, successful human beings. Our players must always be polite, well behaved, and respectful. The coaches will make decisions on player's positions, amount of playing time, tournament participation, etc. Players must be positive in fulfilling the role they are asked to perform for the team at any moment, even if that role has them not playing at all, coming off the bench, or playing a different position. The coaches expect each player to participate and support the team for the entire season, even in the event that team results, personal playing time, and personal relationships, etc. do not meet expectations.

Sideline Coaching Practices & Games

There will be no coaching by parents. No matter how good your intentions are, we insist there be no shouting instructions to your son or yelling (complaining) to officials during games. Your vocal support and positive encouragement are welcome after a good play; “GO”, “WEASEL”, “SIGNALS” OR “SHOOT” ARE INTERPRETED AS INSTRUCTIONS AND AS SUCH ARE NOT ACCEPTED. It is important that Players are given only one set of instructions by one voice before, during, and after practices and games. For this reason, the Club insists that the Team’s Coach, Asst. Coach or the Team’s Manager is the only voice at all games and practices. No one other than those listed on the official game roster may sit on or near the bench before and during games.

Parents

The Club’s first concern is for the long-term growth and development of your son as a person along with his soccer abilities under pressure. There will be times Coaches make decisions and Players are instructed to do things Parents will not understand. Club, Team, and Player development will sometimes be given a greater priority than winning. Parents must understand this and conduct themselves in a manner consistent with a healthy Team environment.
REMEMBER, PLAYING ONLY TO WIN WITHOUT TAKING A HEALTHY CLUB, TEAM AND PLAYER DEVELOPMENT INTO ACCOUNT WILL NOT RESULT IN A SOLID FOUNDATION UPON WHICH YOUR SON WILL BE PREPARED FOR WINNING.
Parents, always at the appropriate moment and time feel free to communicate and ask questions about your child to the coaches. Please take the initiative to teach your child to speak up and communicate for himself whenever possible. Our Coaches will always express their observations and views of an individual player.
PART OF THE COMMITMENT REQUIRES THAT PARENTS SUPPORT THE ATHLETE BY ENSURING TIMELY PARTICIPATION IN PRACTICES AND GAME. PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST 10 TO 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO PRACTICE SESSIONS AND AT LEAST ONE HOUR PRIOR TO GAME TIME WITH THE APROPRIATE GEAR (TWO SETS OF UNIFORMS, SHIN GUARDS, SHOES, WATER, ETC). There will be no visiting of the players with family or friends immediately before the practice or game until the Coach dismisses them after the game. During half time and after the game, players should drink water, then immediately join the Team and Coach for game discussion or Team adjustments.

Nutrition

The Club asks that each athlete maintain a healthy lifestyle and Team attitude.
Proper hydration, nutrition, and rest are parts of each player’s responsibility. Each player should take in appropriate fluids and eat healthy nutritious food in a timely fashion so as not to interfere with performance.
If Players have questions about which fluids and foods are best for performing athletes, please ask the Team’s Coach.
The word “Players” on this agreement refers to boys and girls.

Player & Parent Agreement
